First entry, December 2016
Tomorrow would be a FULL week since we journeyed to full disclosure. However we are nipping that in the bud this gloomy, cold, near-winter morning. But why and what’s happening at, in & around the cloud ? I can just hear you axing ...
In a word busy. Busy with the rapidly approaching Holiday, artsy-pharsty project work, work-work, job search and finally domestic chores & affairs.
YOU CAN STOP NOW. WE GET IT ! POR FAVOR.
Today it a full day off as is tomorrow. The work schedule has been a grueling grind of late so I sort of slept in this morning. If you are keeping track at home it was 12 bunk-side, 15 on the thermo upstairs and 16 down stairs.
I needed a fire started for the day but the fireplace needed cleaning. So I did that dirty little job prior to execution & ignition.
Then the coffee was ready and on to the full list for today of which I am fulling expecting some, a few or even perhaps many will carryover until tomorrow.
There are a couple of annoying phone call battles to resume now that the working stiffs are back to work 9-5, M-F.
For example, no word nor sign on the rent check yet & here it is the fifth. I am wondering why or how this property management group exists or what there duties & functions are.
The 2016 Christmas cards should be done & ready to pick up today. That leads to the annual letter that goes inside. This tasking has been planned with a very rough mental draft but needs to get to the next step & ultimately completion.
Must plan for the small inner circle that are to get gifts this year. Must take into account travel or transit time.
There are laundry odds & ends to fold & put away. The cocina is a good day behind. Must wrap the twin palms trees out back for the winter as frost is feared this night. Also cover the jalapenos & others plants not hearty enough to sustain the freeze.
Saturday is the annual BIG art show at Tupps which is not to be missed. I plan on finishing a second Canadian goose along with the first & price both to move. There is a tropical fish sold for a Christmas gift that also needs attention to completion as a rising priority.
I have no clue for an image today but that truly is the least of my worries.
I must shower & clean up in the event I suddenly must venture out for something or anything like the cards.
All this said, I am taking great comfort in the fire and coffee BEFORE jumping into the shower and the slight to mild DIScomfort getting out & rewarming.
I am recalling as I sip scalding coffee the first night in Tulum back in June when the ac in the penthouse cabana was not functioning properly.
As my third grade teacher Mrs Baker use to tell Tom Palmer as he watched the big clock, ‘Time will pass, will you?’
