Well, it’s a long story but I have time, space and a pot of Lavazza freshly brewed and life is GRANDE.

Yesterday as mentioned in the briefing I had an irregularly scheduled lunch with Special Ed. We decided on El Pollo Alegre and as we were ketching up, he let it drop he was now officially out of work, collecting $100k/year, was looking for a new house and had a new gf.

As my mind wandered with those numbers, but before that, I realized Special no longer was using the walker but now sported a very stylish cane which he used on the lean to walk.

A bit later, he mentioned SOME of his medication(s) and suddenly the $100 K wasn’t enough.

I had one of those DAILY DOUBLE moments.

Money IS NOT everything.

Health was INFINITELY more important. Especially to me. Envy faded rapidly replaced with gratitude and relief for that which I had and the color green didn’t matter one bit.

SO, this day, up 4:17, again 5:34 and couldn’t stand it anymore. Still dark but I need to get after it.

Tonight covered dish supper, adults only, at St Michael’s. MUST get out, purchase two (2 dos) heads of green cabbage and make signature cole slaw an another jar of Bill’s Fabulous sauerkraut in a jar for this summer bbq w/ brats. OH BABY … with Bill’s Fabulous pub mustard.rev.VI.

Early evening I slipped in History channel DVD of the Ken Burns production Thomas Jefferson. Very well done as one would expect fm Burns. With my latest read on Jefferson, I should be good for a while.

Rediscovered a couple of old favorite BBC shows on yt. The Two Fat Ladies & Lovejoy. Nice to reconnect and see random episodes, new to old, repeats and never seen and very much fun. Great acting & characters and the 2FL make incredible dishes in the most quirky places. Check them out if you pull yourself away from DWTS, the voice OR America’s Got Talent OR Wheel of Fortune.

Discovered a new artist. Check out Colin Stetson as in the hat. A ‘saxophonist’ or ‘multireedist’ which should tell you all you really need to know.

Sort of a fusion (?), futuristic sound in a jazzy-jam sort of way. OK THEN… EASY LISTENING.

How’s that ?

I was idly searching & see an event in Ft Worth caught my eye. One of the acts was Courtney Barnett who I wouldn’t mind seeing but I may now be too old for such things. HOWEVER, I may just take a ride over there & get a couple of shirts or a poster that says ‘Fortress Festival 2018.’

It’s getting near dawn …

The sleeping weather is SUPREME. Window now open at night and chilly biut tolerable and it WILL warm up.

No, yesterday and last night I saw it all coming together. A new species, it is looking very cool & I had a vision EXACTLY how I was going to paint it and what is was going to look like. Art continues to amaze me. Especially my own.

I guess that’s it. As mentioned, another big, full long day.

Must, MUST, MUST get some additional greens plants. Lettuces, spinach & chards. The collard leaves are now HUGE & ready for a mini-harvest.
