Bill v Influenza A

All rise. This milestone hearing is strictly and for the sole purpose of paid members only. If your membership has lapsed, why would you want to miss THIS ?

It is Wednesday, day three and according to the instructions I received I must make a decision or determine by tomorrow if I am any better. This is not a difficult question rather a perplexing question and frankly I am having great difficulty reaching a conclusion.

My threshold for pain is different but this can go either way. Certain symptoms have subsided and I have acclimated to the point of controlling the coughing, not getting up each & every time to spit so sleep and rest time increased last night. These are some of the pluses and perhaps they can be directly attributed to the meds and the regimen.

The down sides, it is painful to swallow. The throat is sore but not as much and perhaps the knife is a little pen knife versus a larger ranger commando blade. The cough is still deep and rich and coughing is very painful as well. There is or are plenty of phlem gurgling to cough up but if it hurts so, my question becomes why. I will ask the doctor tomorrow about this.

So, in order to move along to other activities, which is a very good sign in my opinion, the short answer is getting ‘better’ but steps are small & slow and far, FAR from being COMPLETELY ‘better’.

I am thinking another day of resting and laying low will help and tomorrow I should have a much better platform to make the call and visit the doc-in-the-box.

I think doing this entry even helps. I can tell the concentration is higher, motor and mechanical seem sharper and more crisp like the previous version so there is hope.

Stars won last night. I finished the first 100 pages in the Mapmaker. It is taking a bit longer than expected for the style is different.

HOW SO?

Well, story takes place in 15th century Portugal and the ships, customs and everything else is prior to the periods of maritime history I am most familiar. But it is well written and published in 1957. When I asked my Mom about Frank Slaughter, she had heard of him but not all that familiar. He was trained as a medical became a writer sort of like an early Michael Crichton.

For the price I paid, worth it and a good addition to the library collection.
