Won June / June Won
It matters not …
I received a reply from Dr Paine closing the loop on the 21st century electronic house call.
I sent an original inquiry thru the website right at the start of the long holiday weekend expressing c19-(flu)-like symptoms. He called me to my surprise, we chatted for a bit as in a consult and he phoned to a local CVS that he knew had inventory a prescription for Paxlovid ‘If I needed it.’ I could not get up to go that day opting to rest instead.
The next day I felt a bit better after napping, resting and sleeping ALL day. I put off picking up the script for a day and continued the NRS regimen. The wicked sore throat and congestion was Olympic and I found a spit cup much more convenient than running to the crapper each time I hawked up a big ball of sputum or a large plug of phlegm.
My Mom the nurse's words 'Spit that ALL out.'
FB had delivered a package with holistic ‘meds’ from amazon which I started taking and working into the treatment routine. I did not submit to the home ‘swab’ test.
WHY?
I read the instructions on the box and the largest font on the back CLEARLY the possibility ‘false negatives’ were known and reported. So I said to myself what’s the point?
I mean it was KNOWN enough to print on the box, it’s an EUA which should instill confidence all pointed to ‘bogus’ to me. I threw away the test and determined to ride it out.
Which I did.
Yesterday I felt I reached the 90% mark and TODAY I rode 40K, 1:59:57 which I felt great with. Sure :03 under two (2) hours was NOT spectacular but the training program is now officially formal-IN season leading up to the HH100 in late August.
I had to start today because it is and ALWAYS will be too easy to dream up an excuse of some sort to put it off. You heard it referred to here often enough as Procrastination station. The schedule calls for riding four (4) times per week, 40K (easy), off day, 24K (hard), 40K (easy) day off and distance graduating upwards on Saturday or Sunday am. AND after starting the schedule CAN be altered for weather and other over-riding events.
OK. Big day done and another tomorrow. As it stands I will be heading out to pick up 1) Silver and 2) the art work from
StudioC gallery in Corpus Christi. Still lots of moving parts.
Hope, pray, stay strong.
More and BETTER soon.
